In Season: Bell Peppers
Enjoy creative ways to serve these sweet gifts from the late-summer garden.
There’s no disguising a bell pepper. While summer vegetables such as zucchini and eggplant tend to absorb other flavors, bell peppers assert themselves in dishes. Even when used as a garnish―say, finely diced bell pepper showered over pasta or grilled scallops―the bright taste of the pepper hits your palate first.

[Y^^]: In-N-Out Burger
[Y^^]: In-N-Out Burger
From time to time, I visited there when I lived in Irvine. It's a regional chain of fastfood restaurants.
I heard that it started from California and Headquater was in Irvine. Also I heard that everything they use is from Californa. Only the owners' family and relatives can open the restaurant.
Eventhough I heard that every restaurant is in California, it's not true. I saw some restaurant near California, such as Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.
I have no idea if meat and vegitables are from California. However, it't true that meat and vegitables are fresher than any other fast food restaurants.
Its menu is simple. There are only a few. I think simple menu makes the quality better.
Of course it is just a fast food restaurant. I can not say the taste of In-N-Out Burger is better than that of original restaurant. However, I do not doubt that it's one of the best fast food restaurants.
I have not lived in California anymore, so I'll miss In-N-Out Burger.
I love In-N-Out Burger!!

In Season: Summer: Watermelon
In Season: Watermelon
Make room in the fridge for these fruits that offer a slice of summer.
Watermelon hits its prime in August, sweetening backyard barbecues, lazy-day picnics on the grass, and beach parties. It boasts an unbeatable combination for long, hot days: It’s colorful, sweet, crunchy, refreshing, and portable. In addition to quenching thirst― watermelon is 92 percent water―it provides hefty doses of vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, and lycopene (a disease-fighting antioxidant found in red fruits and vegetables).

Green tea (綠茶; 绿茶; lǜchá)
Green tea (traditional Chinese: 綠茶; simplified Chinese: 绿茶; pinyin: lǜchá)
Green tea is tea made solely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates from China and has become associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan to the Middle East. Recently, it has become more widespread in the West, where black tea is traditionally consumed. Many varieties of green tea have been created in countries where it is grown. These varieties can differ substantially due to variable growing conditions, processing and harvesting time.

In Season: All-Star Medley of Leeks
All-Star Medley of Leeks
Try adding leeks to risottos, salads, gratins, and stews. You'll be glad you did.
Wallflowers of the greengrocer, leeks often sit forlornly in the bin looking like green onions on steroids, passed over by shoppers. Though they are available year-round, we tend to think of these mildest relatives of the onion family as foreign visitors-called upon when we want to impress friends with continental classics such as vichyssoise or potage Parmentier.
